2022 Municipal Election
Candidate Application Packages, including Nomination Forms, can be picked up at the City Hall Customer Service Desk starting April 19th at 9:00 a.m.
Nominations may be filed by Candidates at the Clerk's office at any time, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays), from Monday, May 2nd, 2022 to Friday, August 19. 2022. The last day to file a Nomination is Friday, August 19th, 2022, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Candidates for Council require 25 endorsement signatures in the prescribed form in order to file a Nomination. School Board Trustee Candidates have been exempt from this requirement by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

Candidates must file their Nominations forms in person at City Hall, located at 58 Dalhousie Street. It is expected that Candidates have completed all of the required forms and reviewed the necessary information provided in the Candidate Package before they arrive to file their Nomination.
When Candidates arrive, they will meet with the City Clerk or designate, who will proceed to complete the Nomination Checklist with the Candidate. If satisfied with the information provided, the City Clerk or designate will receive the Nomination. At this time, Candidates will also be given a Financial Package, which includes spending limits and other related information. Nominations will not be formally certified by the City Clerk until Monday, August 22nd, 2022.
Please complete but DO NOT SIGN the forms. The Forms will be signed at Brantford City Hall in front of the City Clerk or designate when the Nomination Forms are received.
