2022 Municipal Election
Within 90 days after voting day in a regular election, the clerk shall prepare a report about the identification, removal and prevention of barriers that affect electors and candidates with disabilities and shall make the report available to the public.
The 2022 Post Election Accessibility Report is now available.
The City of Brantford is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. This includes ensuring that elections are accessible to everyone.
After the 2018 Municipal Election, staff reviewed the accessibility initiatives undertaken during the course of the election and compiled a report that aimed to identify barriers that impacted electors and candidates, as well as measures that were taken to increase accessibility.
The 2022 Accessibility Plan for the 2022 Municipal Election is available for review.
We will be offering roaming voting stations at locations that have been identified to have significant populations of voters that may be unable to travel to a polling location due to accessibility issues (such as nursing homes), just as Municipal Election staff did in 2018. Online voting will be available from the 3rd of October, 2022 through to the Official Voting Day on October 24th. Online voting is open to all voters.
Please note that accessible formats and communication supports for documents featured on this site are available upon request. For more information please contact the City’s Accessibility Coordinator at accessibility@brantford.ca.
